About The Artist

For Kyia Holmes, growing up watching her father create with his amazing drawings and tattoos, she instantly took on the same creative interest in drawing. She grew up being the kid that drew in class instead of paying attention to the teacher. Art class being her favorite subject, Kyia knew she loved art and creating. 

Later, she switched from drawing to painting. It became her safe haven. Kyia found painting therapeutic. It helped relax her mind and anxiety. With her desire to tap into all things art, she decided to attend Bowie State University to use and elevate her talents by studying Visual Communications and Digital Media Arts with a focus in advertising design. There she acquired skills in typography, photography, 2D design, 3D designs, Adobe photoshop, and illustrator. Kyia hopes to continue to obtain new skills and unlock new talents on the way.
